The Padlock Key is an item in Granny: Chapter Two.
It is required for the Front Door and Boat escape routes, but not for the Helicopter. The Padlock Key also has 2 different uses, one for the Front Door Escape and one for the Boat Escape. It can be used to open the Regular Padlock on the Front Door, and can also be used to open the Lever Safe in the Sewer Deck, to gain access to the Sewer Gate Lever, to open the Sewer Gate and allow the Boat to leave the House by the Sewer Tunnel. Also, try hard to find the key. There is a secret room that you could possibly find the padlock key, so do it quick. It is the most important key in the game.
As of Version 1.2.1, the Padlock Key can spawn in any of these locations:
- Dining Room - Drawer (Preset 1)
- Backyard - Shed (Preset 2)
- Jail Cell - Chained Coffin (Preset 3)
- Balcony - Crate (Preset 4)
- Entrance Closet - Safe (Preset 5)
Appearance[]
The Padlock Key appears as a small key with three teeth on its blade. The blade appears to be made out of scratched silver. It also has a circular dark blue handle that is made out of plastic.
Trivia[]
- When dropped, the Padlock Key makes the same noise as the Safe Key, the Boat Key, and the Security Key.
- In comparison to the Padlock Key in the original Granny, the only difference is the handle's shape.
- The Padlock Key is the most important key in both games. (Until the Helicopter escape.)
- The Padlock Key used to spawn inside the Piano until the release of Version 1.1.
- The Padlock Key used to be required to beat the game until Version 1.1.
