Door Lock is an Item in Granny: Chapter Two.
Description[]
It is not required to escape but can be used as a way of defense against Granny and Grandpa. Its main purpose is to lock a door for a certain amount of time, preventing anyone from opening it, with the exception of the Player, if they choose to manually retrieve the Door Lock from the door it was placed on beforehand. It cannot be used on the Front Door, as this would have no utility and also cannot be used on the Baby's Cage's Door to lock it in its cage. Granny and Grandpa will not be able to open the locked door as long as the Door Lock is applied to it. Granny will still hear noises if they are made on the other side of that door and will try to open it, until it eventually open once the Door Lock deactivates and falls off to the ground, provoking a noise that alerts her.
The Door Lock can lock a door for a certain amount of time depends on the difficulty:
- Practice, Easy and Normal: 45 seconds.
- Hard: 20 seconds.
- Extreme: 8 seconds.
Trivia[]
- The Door Lock's white light turns red once it's activated and placed on a Door.
- Applying the Door Lock on the Security Room's door will result in completely locking it, even after the Lock falls off or if it is just manually removed. The Security Key is required to open it again. One of the Grandparents, most likely Grandpa will also take more time to open it again.
- After being placed on a door, the Door Lock can be picked up by the Player.
