The Cutting Pliers is an item in Granny: Chapter Two.
Description[]
It is always required to escape by the Front Door Escape, and sometimes required for the Boat Escape, too. It can be used in two different ways. The first purpose of the Pliers is to cut the red wire connected to the Electrical Box, behind the red painting on the first floor. This will disable the Electricity Lock in the Front Door and remove the Electricity particles coming out of it. The second purpose of this item is to cut the chains keeping the Chained Box closed, in the Jail Cell, in the Attic. Just like the Crowbar on the Planks, it only takes a hit per chain to cut them, which will make the wooden lid closing it fall to the floor and reveal the content inside. The Cutting Pliers can be found in the House depending on the Preset you're playing with :
Postion | Plier's Location |
---|---|
1 | Balcony - Crate |
2 | Safe |
3 | Kitchen - Shelf |
4 | Vent |
5 | Basement - Crate |
Appearance[]
The Cutting Pliers, which by the way, look more like a pruner have a green handle, seemingly made out of plastic and two jaws, connected by a joint in the middle, that also connects the handles together.
Trivia[]
- The Cutting Pliers used to be in the first Granny game, but they looked different. They however had more uses than those from Granny: Chapter Two, since they could be used at 3 different places instead of 2 in the new game.
- Just like the Cutting Pliers in the original game, if the Player interacts with something that needs the Cutting Pliers, he will use an incorrect grammar line "I need a cutting pliers".
