The Ammo is an item in Granny: Chapter Two.
It is used to reload the Shotgun and can be found pretty easily all around the House. It cannot be picked up like any other item, and requires the Shotgun to be grabbed. The Ammo is divided by groups of two, which is enough to fully reload the Shotgun, if empty. The total amount of Ammo in the House depends on the Difficulty, the harder the Difficulty is, the rarer the Ammo becomes :
Difficulty | Number of Ammo |
---|---|
Easy | 12 |
Normal | 8 |
Hard | 4 |
Extreme | 2 |
Difficulties[]
- On Easy Mode, Ammo can be found in the Basement, Entrance Closet, Attic, Kitchen, Master Bedroom and obviously in the Secret Closet inside the Weapon Safe where the Shotgun is found, which makes 12 pieces of Ammo in total.
- On Practice and Normal Mode, the Entrance Closet and Master Bedroom Ammo is removed, which only leaves a total of 8 in House, in the Attic, Kitchen, Basement, and of course Secret Closet.
- On Hard Mode, the Attic and Basement Ammo is removed, which only leaves a total of 4 in the House, in the Kitchen and of course in the Secret Closet.
- On Extreme Mode, the Kitchen Ammo is also removed which only leaves 2 pieces of Ammo, in the Secret Closet, inside the Weapon Safe. This makes the Shotgun practically useless as it can only be used once, probably for each grandparent. Make sure to use it wisely.
- In every difficulty, there is an infinite Ammo Dispenser next to the Shooting Minigame, as long as it is locked. To access this, it requires the Security Key and the three Picture Pieces. Note that even though the Ammo Dispenser does generate infinite ammo whilst powered on, after completion of the minigame, the ammo spawned by the dispenser can no longer be interacted with.
Trivia[]
- The principle of the Weapon Safe was re-used from the first Granny game. However, it was the Crossbow that could be found inside, unlike now in Granny: Chapter Two, where it's the Shotgun.
- The previous Shotgun from the first game was divided in 3 three parts that had to be put back together on a blueprint in the Garage from Granny's House and had the same amount of Ammo as this one, except that it didn't change depending on the Difficulty and was divided in groups of three pieces of Ammo.
- Trying to reload the Shotgun when it's already fully loaded will make a "The Shotgun is loaded" message appear.
- The shooting minigame in the attic contains an Ammo Dispenser, that, when powered on, will generate ammo, which allows the player to replenish their ammo right at the minigame area without worrying about running out. However, this cannot be exploited since after the minigame is completed, the ammo spawned by the Ammo Dispenser can no longer be interacted with.
- If the player is willing or wishing to have infinite ammo throughout their gameplay, they cannot escape via the helicopter (Or the boat on Preset #5, since the boat steering wheel spawns past this area and will be locked off) and must only complete painting pieces in order to gain access to shooting minigame but they must not complete it in order to get unlimited/infinite ammo for the rest of their run.
